B.J. Reece Orchards Apple Picking — September, B.J. Reece Orchards. A family orchard in Ellijay, about an hour north of Atlanta in the North Georgia mountains, where U-Pick apples run through September and October. As the farm puts it, for many visitors this is a tradition that spans generations. Alongside picking there is a petting zoo and other farm activities, plus a market and bakery known for fried apple pies and apple cider donuts.
Hillcrest Orchards Apple Picking — September, Hillcrest Orchards. A self-described family friendly orchard in Ellijay offering U-Pick apples during the fall season, with weekday farm activities continuing after picking ends. The farm has a petting zoo, orchard tours, food, and photo spots throughout the property. It sits in the same North Georgia apple belt as Ellijay's other generational orchards.
Burt's Pumpkin Farm — September, Burt's Pumpkin Farm. Burt's Pumpkin Farm in Dawsonville opens for pumpkin season on September 1 and runs daily from 9am to 6pm through the fall. Hayrides operate in September and October, and the farm's newest stop is Autumn & Gordy's Harvest House, an interactive giant drive-through pumpkin that hayride guests pass through.
Dragon Con Parade — September, Peachtree Street, Downtown Atlanta.
