Annual traditions in Phoenix

• Schnepf Farms Pumpkin & Chili Party — October, Schnepf Farms. Schnepf Farms calls the Pumpkin & Chili Party its signature fall festival, and it has run every October in Queen Creek for more than 25 years. The farm sets up a corn maze, hayrides, pumpkin patch picking, a petting zoo, amusement rides, pig races, and entertainment shows. Evenings bring bonfires with music on the farm.
• Vertuccio Farms Fall Festival — October, Vertuccio Farms. Vertuccio Farms on South Power Road in Mesa runs a month-long Fall Festival built around its five-acre corn maze, an event the farm counts in its twenty-eighth year. One admission covers the maze, a petting zoo, mini golf, a barrel train ride, a ropes course, a pig race ride, a giant jump pad, a giant tube roll, the super mega slide, carnival games, and a playground. Pumpkins are priced by size and sold in the farm's Pumpkin Barn alongside straw bales and corn stalks.
• ZooLights at the Phoenix Zoo — December, Phoenix Zoo. The Phoenix Zoo's holiday light festival features millions of lights, life-size animal lanterns, a light tunnel, and nightly family entertainment.
• Las Noches de las Luminarias — December, Desert Botanical Garden. Desert Botanical Garden's holiday tradition lights the desert landscape with thousands of luminarias, live music, and Santa visits.
