FamHop family weekend planner by metro

FamHop helps families find kid-friendly spots, family events, and ready-made weekend plans across major U.S. metros.

FamHop is a free weekend planner for families in 16 U.S. metro areas. It does two things: it finds what is actually happening near you, and it turns those listings into a plan you can walk out the door with.

Events come from official sources only — organizer, venue, library, parks-department and government calendars. Listings carry real dates, real start times, and a link back to the organizer's own page, and each one is retired once it ends, so what you see is what is still running. Alongside them are family-friendly spots like playgrounds, nature centers, museums and indoor play spaces, with the practical detail that decides a trip: hours, cost, and what ages it suits.

From there you can build a day: pick a few stops and FamHop checks the distance between them, so a plan is a workable route rather than a wish list. Share it and everyone votes on each stop, which is usually the fastest way to settle an argument about where to go. Photos, hours and place data come from © OpenStreetMap contributors. Nothing is sponsored and we sell no tickets.

Common questions

Is FamHop free?

Yes. Every listing, plan and map is free to use, and there is no paid placement — no organizer can pay to appear in a plan or a weekend guide.

Where do the event listings come from?

Official sources only: organizer, venue, library, parks-department and government event calendars. Each listing links to the organizer's own page so you can confirm details and, where tickets are needed, buy them from the source.

How far ahead are events listed?

As far as the organizers publish. Weekend guides are rebuilt every week from the current calendars, and a listing is retired when its event ends rather than left up as a stale date.

Can I use it without an account?

Yes — browsing, planning, sharing and voting all work without signing in.
